Luminary is a family owned studio and agency, comprising of a passionate and award winning team. We represent local talent and have a deep understanding of the region’s culture with an international perspective. Nurturing and working closely with our artists is key to everything we do, aiming to produce artistically forward thinking imagery - both in stills and moving content.
We provide photography and videography services that include but are not limited to corporate photography, fashion photography, commercial and advertising, and personal photography. We can also help you create content for social media and personal branding.

Founder and Photographer
Amani AlShaali is an Emirati conceptual and portrait photographer. She developed a passion for photography at a very young age, and through photography discovered her love for editing and photo-manipulation. At 19, Amani was diagnosed with major depression. She graduated from university with a bachelor’s in interior design and worked as an interior designer while dealing with her depression by creating conceptual images. She portrayed herself in worlds that only exists in her mind, and found healing in translating the darkness that lives inside her into pieces of art.
Now, Amani also shoots bridal and family portraits, fashion, jewelry, and food, while also creating conceptual imagery.
Amani and Issa have been married since 2018.

Founder and Photographer
Issa Saleh Alkindy is an Omani photographer who was raised in several countries across the Middle East and North Africa. His exposure to different cultures from an early age sparked a curiosity and infused in him an appreciation for ethnic heritage and modern traditions - elements that are often evident in his photography. Issa’s work has been featured on several covers of Forbes. He is a regular contributor to Marie Claire, amongst other publications.
Issa strives to portray the significance of fleeting moments through a picture. His passion lies in his curiosity in the human condition, which he explores through his interactions with the people he photographs.

As a professionally trained architect, I have cultivated a unique perspective that enables me to perceive the world through the lens of a designer, emphasizing elements such as lines, space, light, composition, and aesthetics. In my pursuit of photography, I leverage these fundamental principles to craft narratives and unveil the inherent beauty within each scene and subject. Photography, for me, serves as a creative medium to interact with the environment, forge connections with individuals, and weave compelling stories.
My portfolio includes internationally published works in the realms of fashion and editorial photography. While I am based in The Netherlands, I am readily available for projects worldwide, aligning seamlessly with my passion for travel and capturing diverse international landscapes.
Utilizing a Fujifilm GFX medium format digital camera and accompanying lenses, I employ cutting-edge equipment to ensure the highest quality in my photographic endeavors.
